Cookies & Brownies

I'm heading over to my boyfriend's place tomorrow to celebrate new year's day and decided to bake some treats for his family :)

There's no shame in using box mixes when you know attempting to bake from scratch would lead to disaster.

First the brownies ^-^

 

And then the cookies :)

And as those corny infomercials loved to say "and with the magic of television" (or internet in this case), voila! You have your delectable delights!

Dumplings (from frozen)

Staying true to the name of this blog, I felt it was necessary to post at least once about dumplings. While I have never made them from scratch, I can tell you how to make some pretty sick ones from frozen without defrosting or boiling/steaming :D

1. Pour oil into the pan and let it heat up

2. Lay several dumpling into the pan

3. Wait until you hear the crackle of the oil and then pour a cup of water into the pan

4. Cover the pan and slightly lower the heat

5. Cook until all the water has cooked away (about 10 min)

6. Enjoy!

Hey there! Welcome to Plantains and Dumplings. Kaitlyn and I (Cathy) decided to create this blog in order to document the dishes we make regularly at our college dorm.
